The after math..

What happens when we advocate for wildlife ?

This is the after math of my advocacy for wild horses. After asking some questions that I had concerns about, we have been blocked from all other wild horse advocacy groups in Alberta. I questioned capture licenses, fees, screening, policies, Instead we were blocked and a false picture has been painted. A company who was supposed to be advocating for wild horses made some very harsh and untrue claims against us, however they chose not to share our name and blocked us first, because they knew what they were saying was false. And if we were blocked, nobody could see the truth. We will continue our fight for the Alberta wild horses, new documentation and files coming soon. As we are no longer welcome in the groups that control the narrative for alberta wild horses, we have been forced into making our own files to have a way to document the wild horses we find, research and document. As wild horse and wildlife advocates we should all be working together for the good of wild horses. We cannot save wild horse while receiving capture licenses. And wild animals should be able to be released if they need rehabilitation. Here at kanatawildhorses my husband and i will continue to go against the grain, and fight for the removal of ALL capture licenses as well as ending all culls contraceptives and adoptions of wild horses. We cannot fight to save them if we partake in removing them. These are facts. Protection as wild is what they need and we will continue to advocate for that. However I do not believe one side should control the narrative. “Haws” wants “whoas” to stop capturing wild horses, while Haws has kept a capture licenses every year. If we are against captures we need to be against all captures. And I do not believe not profit organization built to save wild horses, should profit in any way from a wild horse they have removed from the wild. Going against their organizations moto. However I agree with the petition on the Haws page to give wild horses rights as wild, that will remain up on the page till the petition dead line. I believe as wildlife advocates we need to work together, not against each other, and we cannot block and ban other advocates just because we disagree. The wild horses belong to the land, and all laws should aim to protect that. If you want to follow our advocacy please find us on YouTube or Facebook at kanatawildhorses
