Welcome to Kanatawildhorses

where you will find photography and videography taken from around Canada. Our passion started from observing Albertas wild horses, and has led us into wanting to document and share the beauty in all wildlife here in Canada. Once called Kanata. You will find photography of all kinds here. We have many pages on this website and more coming soon where you will be able to click the tab at the top and find all the different sections we have. from birds, to flowers, elk, sheep, wild horses, to our macro journey of the forest floor, bugs and spiders, butterflies and bees. no wildlife in Canada will be left out here. Plus a Canada Underwater edition coming soon. We also have a wild horse research page where we will be documenting, researching, and questioning the narrative, making sure the truth about the wild horses In Alberta Canada is for everyone. We will do our best to share all the facts and data we find, from grass levels, to death tolls, to birth rates and foal survival rates. Our hands on time in the back country with the wild horses has given us an inside look not many get to see. so far we have over 400 wild horses documented. Just in the last 6 months alone. We will continue our research into the truth. We are wild horse advocates and believe ALL captures should end All adoptions should end. That no wild horses should ever face capture again. We have seen wild horses put to sleep, we have seen wild horses “rescued” which now face a life in a small pen. and we have seen wild horses die giving birth. Every bit of truth needs to be shared and we cannot with hold valuable information regarding the wild horses or wildlife in our country. Our goal with our wild horse research to to share the simple truth. Companies who say “hands off wild horses” are applying and receiving capture licenses to take wild horses. Lets get the facts straight. Taking a wild animal out of the wild to live in captivity forever is not saving the animal. the only way to possibly help a wild animal is to

1. let it be, observe do not intervene.

2. Rescue, Rehabilitate, then RELEASE.

the problem with Alberta laws is wild animals need the ability to be released after rehabilitation. Many countries have learnt this knowledge. But Canada falls behind, sentencing every rescued animal to a life in cages and enclosures. We want to find a way to change this so every wild animal never has to face a life in cages, that if there is an eagle with twine stuck on it’s leg it can be helped and released. That if a wild horse is abandoned it can be helped and released. We will stand against all capture licenses and all “rescues” which sentence wild animals to a life in cages, pens, enclosures or corrals. Wild animals need to remain wild and we will continue or documentation and fight to bring awareness to the threats our wildlife in Canada faces. To help bring a love and passion back for protecting the wildlife and creation that God has given us.
